Leader, Divya Goel 

Divya Goel, originally from Canada and now residing in the USA, lives with the rare Usher Syndrome Type 3B.

 

As the Founder and President of DeafBlind United, Divya is a dedicated advocate for the DeafBlind community.

Divya attended the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, Florida, and graduated from Boone High School in Orlando. She earned her Associate degree from Valencia College in Orlando.​

A passionate motivational speaker, Divya has presented at numerous national and international conferences.

 

She has traveled to India and Nepal to support and uplift DeafBlind individuals and organizations. Inspired by the resilience of DeafBlind individuals, Divya is committed to inspiring, motivating, and enriching their lives.

Her advocacy journey began in 2009 when she had the honor of meeting President Barack Obama at the White House as part of a DeafBlind leadership group.

 

Divya previously served as the President of DeafBlind Citizens in Action and is currently an Ambassador for India with the Usher Syndrome Coalition.
